Chemical peels are used to enhance skin quality. They can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, scarring, hyperpigmentation, redness, enlarged pores and other skin concerns.

A chemical peel is a treatment that uses an acid to remove the outer layers of the skin. They also stimulate growth of new skin cells to improve the texture and appearance, while treating certain skin conditions.

If you have this as a course of treatments it is a fact that any further treatments such as Lumixa/ plasma pen / wrinkle and filler treatment tend to be more effective for longer.

The Cube light with FLE

Lumixa is a unique multi- action treatment which uses FLE (Flourescent Light Energy) Technology to repair, regenerate and energise your skin.The technology consists of a photoconveter gel containing exogenous chromophores that is applied direct to the skin, then activated under the professional LED cube light to generate the FLE. This latest innovation in light therapy produces multiple hyper-pulsed wavelengths in a single treatment, benefiting both the epidermis and dermis.

The treatment has minimal downtime and itself, a very safe treatment as well as painless and non invasive. It is suitable for all skin types. Combine it with other aesthetic treatments  for superior, longer - lasting results.

The Cube light as a stand alone treatment

 LED light treatments are quick, painless and have no downtime. They can also be combined with other aesthetic treatments to enhance results. Unlike other types of light therapy, LEDs do not contain ultraviolet rays, so are safe to use and side effects are rare. The low energy emitted also means there is little risk of damage to the eyes or skin and it is suitable for use on all Fitzpatrick skin types. 

There are 4 colours to our medical grade Cube light and a diode.

RED-  used for treating the epidermis and has been shown to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Red LED light is also thought to improve blood circulation and help with the penetration of active ingredients.

BLUE-  This light reduces activity in the sebaceous glands and targets the bacteria responsible for acne. It can also calm sensitive, problematic skin. 

GREEN- This  light has a calming effect and can help lighten age spots, sun damage and hyperpigmentation for a brighter, more even complexion.

YELLOW-  YELLOW light is used to relieve rosacea, flushed skin and redness. It can also help reduce melanin production. 

SCALP DIODE is used to treat hair loss. It improves blood circulation and helps stimulate the hair follicles. 

IR-  IR (barely visible near infrared light) penetrates even deeper that red light and triggers wound healing, decreases inflammation, and can help with pain relief and muscle relaxation.

PLASMA PEN  

This is another treatment and very popular with all genders - It is also licensed for 12 years and upwards for acne as it is an excellent treatment for sensitive skin.

• Treating skin conditions: Cold plasma pens can treat symptoms of acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, and seborrhoea.

WRINKLE TREATMENT

Those of us who prefer the instant outcome we have the wrinkle treatments . 

I am very fond of Bocoture (TM) due to it being a more 'pure' wrinkle treatment than some of the alternatives available by containing less protein; therefore reducing the possibility of a reaction against the treatment. It also takes effect more rapidly giving my patient a faster response. THIS IS A PRESCRIPTION ONLY MEDICINE AND WILL NEED A SKIN CONSULTATION PRIOR TO TREATMENT.

FILLERS

Our Practice uses Teoxane and Belotero, Both extremely good fillers. My patients love Teoxane which provides a natural undetectable result- the filler moves with the facial features hydrating the skin . This is because of the Hyalauronic acid (HA) which has been modified in the filer to be as close to the body's natural HA. HA provides volume and lift and can also stimulate the collagen. Patients comment that friends can see that they look fresher but unsure what they have done! 

Belotero may also be suitable for my other patients - It helps to enhance the skin by smoothing stubborn etched-in lines and wrinkles.
